Matt joined the Karkela team in 1992. His 29 years of diverse construction experience have helped him value the importance of effective communication with everyone involve on a project.

Prior to joining Karkela, Matt’s roles have included laborer, carpenter, surveyor, and millwright and job superintendent.

Over the last two decades, Matt has managed a wide range of project types including, healthcare, educational, retail, financial, residential, commercial and civic.

Some highlights from Matt’s extensive career with Karkela include the Camden Waste Water Treatment facility, Merrill Creek Reservoir (largest construction project in US between 1986-1989), $2M Anoka school district project which included an educational building (green house), amphitheater, kitchen and cafeteria, and hundreds of healthcare and dental clinics.
