Our Customer's Voice:

"Our office has been in business for 27 years and has had several cumbersome, inefficient remodeling jobs; this was not one of them.

From the design meeting, to the final stroke of paint, everyone was on time, did what they said they were going to do; when they said they would do it, and paid attention to every detail.  Their communication was more than impressive; we had several phone numbers for everyone at all times.

Karkela Construction exhibited a great deal of integrity in every area and we recommend them highly to any business looking for remodeling or construction services."

How We Work
How We Work

A typical construction project at Karkela follows some basic process steps.

Design Evaluation Meeting - A Project Manager from Karkela will meet with you listen to your ideas and your vision and to determine the proper steps in proceeding with your project.

Creating The Team - A typical remodeling project often requires that an architect be consulted to develop a unique and creative design.  The sub-contractors that Karkela entrusts with your project will also be identified and briefed on the critical and routine aspects of your project.  For new "design and build" construction projects, Karkela Construction will frequently assemble a solutions team that may include a real estate agent, architect, equipment supply agent, financier, as well as other sub-contractors.

Bid Presentation - If your construction project appears feasible, the bid prepared by Karkela Construction will identify projected start and finish dates, the project manager and site superintendent assigned to your project, and the costs for time and materials needed to complete your project.  A typical bid will also include information about your responsibilities which vary depending on the size and scope of your project.

Value Engineering - Karkela Construction actively practices a Value Engineering approach to project management.  At it's core, Value Engineering is a process of continuous evaluation and questioning each aspect of the project to determine if alternative materials, techniques, or processes can be utilized to save our clients time and money.  The sample projects available from the "Learn More" menu at the top of this page provide some examples of how Karkela Construction practices Value Engineering.

Project Communication - You should know what is happening with your project at all times.  Period.  At Karkela Construction, our Project Managers ensure that an open line of communication exists and that you are given advance notice of any project challenges as well as regular updates on your project's progress.

Our Work Speaks For Us Throughout this web site, we have included quotes from our customers about their experience with Karkela Construction.  In the specific project examples provided in this area of our web site, we have attempted to showcase both the challenges and the triumphs that are part of the construction business.  After you have learned more about what we have to offer, we encourage you to contact Karkela Construction to discuss your next project.
