Madonna Towers
Rochester, MN
A generous donation from the family of T. Emil Gauthier in recognition of the wonderful care received by a family member resident allowed the Madonna Towers campus to expand its memory care unit by sixteen additional beds when it constructed the T. Emil Gauthier Memory Care wing with Schwab Construction. Based on the idea of providing its residents a home like setting, its warm and inviting spaces include a library area for reading and a dining next to each of its two gas fired fireplaces. A large living room where residents can gather to watch television, chat about the days activities or watch the birds in its large fenced in back yard add to this feeling. A private family room complete with its own living, dining and small home style kitchen spaces allow family members to come in and enjoy some personal time with their loved ones. A meandering outdoor water feature and sunny sitting area help to enhance the daily activities of its residents. A new commercial serving kitchen was incorporated into the design of the facility to meet every dietary need of its residents.
